IBM Tivoli Monitoring, Version 6.3 Fix Pack 2

Tivoli Monitoring maintenance on the cluster

To maintain patches, fix packs, and release upgrades for Tivoli Monitoring components running on the Microsoft Cluster Server environment, first stop the cluster so that the control of the Tivoli Monitoring services are available to the installation program. Make sure you start the maintenance from the node where you installed Tivoli Monitoring (typically clusternode1). When the maintenance is complete, make sure the Tivoli Monitoring services controlled by the cluster are stopped and in manual startup mode. Then, restart the cluster.
