SIP - Add a header

To add a SIP header, select it in the Message Headers table, and click Add.

To add a header:

1. In the Test Navigator, browse to the test, and double-click it.

2. Select the test element to which to add a header.

3. In the Test Element Details area, click Add below the Message Headers table. The Add New Header window opens.

4. In Select header type from the following list, select the header type. If the header type is not listed, type it in the Other field, and click OK.

   Header types listed in the table have type-specific header editors. Other headers are edited as plain text.

5. In Header's value, type the value of the header. You can add the <<local-host>> parameter to Via and Contact headers. At runtime, this parameter is converted to the IP address of the local computer.

6. Click Edit to add a verification point for the content of the header. For more information, see Specifying the expected header contents.

7. Click Table View to return to the Message Headers table.
