Use Quick Find to search for objects in a test object map

You can use Quick Find to search a test object map for an object. Quick Find enables you to search for a test object based on the property or value that you enter.

To search for objects in a test object map:


Procedure

  1. Open the Quick Find dialog box:

    • From the test object map menu, click Find > Quick Find

    • From the test object map toolbar, click the Find: Quick button .

  2. In the Find field, enter the string to search for or select one from the list. The list contains the last 10 search strings used.

    • To find only the text that matches the case of the string you entered, select Match Case.

    • To search properties only for the text you entered, select property.

    • To search values only for the text you entered, select value.

    • To search properties or values for the text you entered, select either.

  3. Click OK. Functional Tester searches the test object map for objects that match the search criterion and highlights the first occurrence. You can change the color of objects matching the search criteria.

    Use the Find: First , Find: Previous , Find: Next , or the Find: Last buttons on the test object map toolbar to navigate between objects that match the search criteria.
