Web application bridge

The web application bridge uses reverse proxy technology to integrate content providers, such as the Microsoft SharePoint 2007server, with IBM WebSphere Portal. An IFrame portlet displays the content from the backend applications. A special engine maps URIs on the iFrame portlet to URIs from the content providers.

To integrate the web application bridge with WebSphere Portal...

  1. Create an application component from the Web application bridge manager portlet
  2. Add the WebDock portlet on a page and configure it to point to the application component
