Set up single sign-on - IBM Connections

Set up single sign-on to ensure that visitors receive only one authentication challenge. The instructions for deploying the IBM Connections portlets include multiple options for configuring authentication for the portlets. If you did not complete the procedures in the IBM Connections documentation, configure single sign-on using the applications server. For best results, follow the procedures provided in the IBM Connections documentation.

Configure single sign-on using IBM WebSphere Application Server or using IBM Tivoli Access Manager. This procedure uses WAS. Instructions for using Tivoli Access Manager are included in the IBM Connections documentation.

  1. Retrieve the LTPA token from the WAS where the portal is installed.

  2. Import the LTPA token into the IBM Connections server.

  3. Enable single sign-on on the IBM Connections server.
