Set up a remote spell checker

Using a local spell checker is not supported on some operating systems. When we are using an operating system on which spell checker is not supported, you have the option to install and use the spell checker on a remote server. The table in this topic includes the operating system on which local spell check is supported. If you do not see your operating system in the table and want to use spell check, set up a remote spell checker.

For example on z/OS, set up a remote spell checker to use spell check.

Running spell checker locally on IBM z/OS is not supported. Instead, configure spell checker on a remote IBM WAS for z/OS and access that server from the local IBM WebSphere Portal server. The remote WAS must be a version that WebSphere Portal supports on the remote platform. The remote WAS can run on any of the following platforms:

However, the remote spell checker system must be running one of the releases supported by Stellent 8.0.1.
