Migrate to the same server
Migrate to a new version of WebSphere Portal on the same server is a combination of exporting content from the earlier version, and then importing that content to the new version.
During migration, the portal may be in a state where it may or may not start. Do not attempt to use the portal until migration is complete; the portal is not in a production-ready state until you complete the portal-post-upgrade task.
- Export v6.0.1.x configuration
- Update database properties for local migration
