Mac OS

Mac OS supports WebDAV for WebSphere Portal. Under Mac OS you cannot use the content model WebDAV handler to move or update content because the Mac OS WebDAV client implements both the update and move functions on files as a two-step sequence of deleting and creating files. However, by design, the portal content model, WebDAV handler, does not allow the creation of files.

To connect to WebDAV for WebSphere Portal...

  1. Open Finder and select Go -> Connect to Server, or press the Apple key + K.

  2. Type the server address.

For example, for working with portal pages and static content:

      http://remote_host:10039/wps/mycontenthandler/dav/contentmodel/wps.content.root/

  3. Click Connect.

The user name and password prompt displays.

  4. Type the user name and password and click OK.

After a successful login, a new Finder window displays and shows the content that you can access.

You can now work with content. However, you can only view, browse, and delete content.
