Add existing wikis to a page

You can add a JSR 286 web content viewer to a page to point to an existing wiki on the site.

Refer to the following steps only when you are adding a web content viewer portlet from the Page Properties menu and configuring this web content viewer to point to an existing wiki. To create a new wiki, use the Customize link to add a wiki to a page. Tagged web content displayed in the JSR 286 web content viewer is only available when there is a single instance of this portlet on the page. When you click a tag result, the Tag Center broadcasts the information on what content should display in the viewer using a public render parameter. If you have multiple instances of web content being displayed in the JSR 286 web content viewer, then these instances will display the content that you tagged rather than display the original content of these instances. Refer to the related links section of this topic for a link to more information on public render parameters.

  1. After adding a JSR 286 web content viewer to a page, click the drop-down menu located in the web content viewer title bar, and select Edit Shared Settings.

  2. By Content Type, select Content Item.

  3. By Content, click Edit, and select an existing wiki from the library drop-down menu.

  4. Expand Content by Site Area. For example, click Content by Site Area -> Wiki Central -> Home (to locate a wiki template).

  5. Select a wiki to render in the web content viewer, and click OK.

  6. If you added the Web Content viewer to the page using the Page Properties menu, configure the Broadcasting settings of the Web Content viewer.

    1. Expand Advanced Options to view the Links section.

    2. Ensure the Broadcast links to option is set to None or This page.

    3. Ensure the Receive Links from option, is set to This Portlet Only Or Other portlets and this portlet.
