AIX clustered server: Create DB2 databases
You can create the DB2databases that are required by WebSphere Portal locally or remotely. When you create DB2 databases locally, you can create these databases using a configuration task or you can create these databases manually. When you create the DB2 databases remotely, you can only create the databases manually.
Prerequisites
AIX clustered server: Install DB2
AIX clustered server: Modify DB2 database properties
AIX clustered server: Create groups and assigning usersAIX clustered server: Create a local DB2 database automatically
This section provides information on using ConfigEngine tasks to create databases when using a local DB2 installation. If you are using a remote DB2 installation, create databases manually and cannot create databases using the ConfigEngine task.
AIX clustered server: Create a remote or local DB2 database manuallyA remote database resides on a different system than WebSphere Portal. When you use a remote DB2 server, manually create the databases that are required by WebSphere Portal.
