Choose the user registry model on HP-UX
Choose between securing WebSphere Portal with a standalone LDAP user registry or by adding LDAP and database user registries to the default federated repository.
Choose one of the following user registry models:
Prerequisites
- Prepare user registries on HP-UX
- Configure a stand-alone LDAP user registry on HP-UX
You can either configure your LDAP server over SSL or configure it to have direct access to IBM WAS and WebSphere Portal.
- Configure the default federated repository on HP-UX
Add an LDAP user registry and/or a database user registry to the default federated repository to create seamless authentication within the repository.
