Retrieving the WebSphere LTPA key

You retrieve the WebSphere LTPA key from the WebSphere Portal server so that you can use the key on the IBM Lotus Quickr server for which you are configuring single sign-on.

If you have already retrieved the WebSphere LTPA key for another application (for example, IBM Tivoli Access Manager, or Lotus Sametime) you can skip this procedure.

  1. On the WAS, start the administrative console and log in.

  2. Select the appropriate command depending on your WAS version:

    • WAS v6.1

Select Security > Secure administration, applications, and infrastructure.

    • WAS v7.0

      Select Security > Global security.

  3. Select the appropriate command depending on your WAS version:

    • WAS v6.1

Under Web security, select Single sign-on (SSO).

    • WAS v7.0

Under Web and SIP security, select Single sign-on (SSO).

  4. Enter the fully qualified domain name and then click OK.

  5. Click Save to save the changes to the master configuration.

  6. Do the following depending on your WAS version:

    • WAS v6.1

      Click Authentication mechanisms and expiration.

    • WAS v7.0

  7. Type the password in the Password and Confirm password fields.

  8. Type the name of your file in the Fully qualified key file name field.
