Work with mashup spaces
The portal provides two widgets for users to work with mashup spaces.
The two widgets are:
- The Space Selector. Users can use this widget for fast selection of spaces in the UI. It shows the spaces that the user marked as application favorites. Favorites are defined individually for each user. Therefore, if a user shared a space with other users, those users have to add that space to their favorites lists by using the Space Manager before they can view the space. The Space Selector only displays Mashup Spaces.
The space selector is not part of the themes available in the portal out of the box. If you need it in the portal, add it manually. Refer to the topic about Enabling Space Selector.
- The Space Manager. Users can use this widget to manage spaces.
For example, this includes creating or deleting spaces, assign users access control to spaces, or mark a space as a favorite. The Space Manager displays only Mashup Templates and Spaces.
For more details about the tasks that users can perform with the Space Manager refer to the topic about What users can do with spaces.
