Rearrange portlets on a page
You can change the placement of individual portlets on a page using the drag-and-drop feature of the portal. The drag-and-drop feature is present for all themes and for row and column containers that are not locked. You should be logged into the portal site using an ID with sufficient access rights to modify a page.
To cancel dropping the portlet on the page, you can drop the portlet over a destination on the page where it is not permissible to drop the portlet, or you can drop the portlet outside of the browser window.
Perform the following steps for rearranging portlets on a page:
- Move the mouse toward the portlet title bar until your cursor changes to display the move indicator
and then click on the portlet title bar. Horizontal bars will appear over potential areas on the page where it is permissible to drop the portlet.
- Drag the portlet to a destination on the page. When you drag the portlet within close proximity of a permissible drop zone, the color of the horizontal bar changes from a muted to a more saturated tone.
- Drop the portlet to the page by releasing the mouse key to move the portlet to a new destination on the page.
