Open Office

OpenOffice provides native support for WebDAV without a drive letter mapping. You can use it to open and save files directly on a WebDAV server.

To connect to WebDAV for WebSphere Portal by using OpenOffice...

1. Start OpenOffice or an OpenOffice application.

2. Select Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > General.

3. Check the Use OpenOffice.org dialogs check box.

4. Select FileOpen.

5. In the File name field, type the WebDAV URL.

   For example, this can be http://remote_host:remote_port/webdav/dav/contentmodel/wps.content.root/

6. Enter your user name and password on the portal server. You can now browse the folder hierarchy.

7. Select a file and click Open. You can now edit the file as required.
