WebSphere Portal Credential builder inputs

This topic describes the inputs to the WebSphere Portal Credential builder.

Table 1. WebSphere Portal Credential builder inputs
Input Name Description
Name Name for this builder call. The WebSphere Portlet Factory Designer displays this name in the builder call list.
Type Select one of the following credential types:

Portlet private

To access in Credential Vault user credentials that are not shared among portlets.

Shared

To access in Credential Vault user credentials that are shared among the user's portlets.

Administrative

To access in Credential Vault user credentials that can be shared among all portlets in that user's session.

System

To access in Credential Vault system credentials shared among all users and all portlets.

Resource Name Name of the resource for accessing the Credential Vault.
The example might represent the resource name of a shared account for accessing a customer Database
Example: CustomerDB
