General inputs

Input Name Description
Name Name for this builder call. The WebSphere Portlet Factory Designer displays this name in the builder call list.

The builder uses this name to construct internal runtime helper code.

Page Location The place at which the Flash object is to be displayed.
SWF File Source Use a relative or absolute URL to indicate which Flash program to use.
Width Specify in pixels the horizontal size of the Flash object.
Height Specify in pixels the vertical size of the Flash object.
Scripting ID Optional value set as the id attribute of the Flash object and used to connect the Flash object with JavaScript. This value should be chosen so that it does not collide with other HTML id values on the page.

If you omit this input, a default id value is generated.

Replace Tag Contents Enable this input to replace the target location with the Flash HTML tag.

Disable to add the Flash HTML tag as a child of the specified page location.

FlashVars Specify name and value pairs that are communicated to the Flash program when it loads.

This is the FlashVars mechanism through which Flash programs can accept runtime parameters.

Note: The builder cannot detect the names of the FlashVars accepted by a Flash program. To set the names, you need to know which name and value pairs that the particular Flash program accepts.

Required Flash player version The minimum allowed Flash player version for the program specified in the SWF File Source input.

Advanced Flash Player Settings

The inputs in this group correspond directly with low-level attributes that can be set on the Flash-specific OBJECT and EMBED tags used to execute the Flash program. See the following Adobe documentation for details on these inputs:
