- Data Page, Input Form, View & Form
- The Use Theme input is available to support themes for HTML templates, style sheets, and base pages.
- Directory Search
- New inputs let you specify XML data source elements, remove duplicates, and supply the URL of a custom base HTML page.
- Dojo Inline Edit
- New inputs let you specify support arguments when Submit Form is used.
- Portlet Adapter
- New inputs support Java Standard 2.0 public render parameters and a helper LJO is created to let you obtain information about the portlet render request attributes.
- REST Service Call
- New inputs support basic authentication.
The following builders are deprecated in this release.
- Logging Category
- Page Encoding
User experience
The following features have been added to WebSphere Portlet Factory Designer.
- Theme support for HTML templates, style sheets, and base pages
- You can use a project theme file to control in one central place the HTML templates, style sheets, and base pages for the user interface in your application. A new property (bowstreet.themeFile) in the cluster.properties file lets you change the default theme file. A new builder (Theme) lets you override the default theme property for all builders in a model.
- Model comparison
- You can use the Eclipse compare editor to compare models in your project.
- New popup menu commands
- In the Design View and Application Tree, the popup menu can show the Export HTML and Export Resource Bundle to let you create an HTML page or a resource bundle.
- Project creation
- When you create a project, the wizard lets you add a folder in the project to store user-defined files.
- Deployment
- You can specify IBM LotusĀ® Mashups as a deployment target for iWidget applications.
- Debugging
- You can use the builderCallTiming property in the log4j.properties file to analyze the time that builders take during regeneration.
Installation
