Prepare a Tivoli Directory Server to communicate with IBM WebSphere Portal - AIX

1. Install Tivoli Directory Server

2. Optional. Create a new directory suffix...

   1. From the directory server console, click...
      Server Administration | Manage Server Properties | Suffixes

   2. Type the Base DN name for the suffix. For example...
      dc=setgetweb,dc=com

   3. Click Add.

   4. Click OK to save your changes.

   5. Stop and restart the LDAP server.

3. Edit the appropriate LDIF file located in root directory of the CD setup...

   PortalUsers.ldif	Working example. Adapt to work with your LDAP server.
   ContentUsers.ldif	For the IBM DB2 Content Manager group and user IDs if you configured DB2 Content Manager.

4. Replace every dc=yourco,dc=com with your suffix.

5. Replace any prefixes and suffixes that are unique to your LDAP server.

6. You can specify user names other than wpsadmin and wpsbind. For security reasons, specify nontrivial passwords for these administrator accounts.

7. Optional

   If using IBM Tivoli Access Manager for e-business Version 5.1, set the objectclasses to accessGroup. If using Tivoli Access Manager V6, set the objectclasses to groupOfNames.

8. Save changes.

9. Follow the instructions provided with your directory server to import the LDIF file.

10. Stop and restart the LDAP server.
