Migrate a remote search server

If your earlier portal environment used a remote search server, install IBM WebSphere Application Server V6.1 on the remote server and then recreate your search collections for use with the current version of IBM WebSphere Portal. To avoid port conflicts, ensure that the earlier installed version of WAS is up and running, and then install WAS Version 6.1 to a different. After installation, check that both the earlier version and the newer version are running, and then continue configuring the remote server.
