Application of specific conditions on resource requests
An external authorization service can impose more specific conditions or system-specific side effects on a successful or unsuccessful access attempt. Examples of such conditions include:
- Causing an external auditing mechanism to record the successful or unsuccessful access attempt
- Actively monitoring the access attempt and causing an alert or alarm whenever unacceptable behavior is detected
- Conducting billing or micro-payment transactions
- Imposing access quotas on a protected resource
