Comparing catalog entry versions

Use the Compare View to compare a catalog entry with one of its versions or to compare two catalog entry versions before restoring a catalog entry version. For example, we can compare the differences between the catalog entry name or catalog entry short description.

Procedure

1. Open the catalog entry version list.

2. To compare a catalog entry with one of its versions, select the version in the Available versions table, and click the Compare Version with Current Object icon

   . The catalog entry and its version display side by side in the Compare View areas. Tip: Instead of restoring a version, we can copy the text you need from the version to the current catalog entry then save our changes.

3. To compare two catalog entry versions, see the instructions in Use the compare view.
