Log in to the Workspace Administration Tool and create a workspace
Procedure
- Launch the Workspace Administration Tool. https://host_name:8000/webapp/wcs/wkspcadmin/servlet/ToolsLogon?XMLFile=workspaceadmin.WorkspaceAdminLogon
- Log in using wcsadmin (or another Site Administrator login).
- Select Workspaces > Manage Workspaces.
- Click New Workspace.
- Type Workspace for new Resource Test for Workspace name.
- Click OK.
- Click New Task Group.
- Type Task Group for new Resource Test for Task Group Name.
- Select wcsadmin (or the Site Administrator ID) from the Available Approvers window and click Add approvers button to add wcsadmin as an approver.
- Click OK.
- Click New Task.
- Type Test Catalog Extended Description for the Task Name.
- Select wcsadmin from the Available Content Contributors window and click Add Content Contributors button to add wcsadmin as the Content Contributor (or the same Site Administrator used for the approver).
- Click OK. The workspace should look like the following diagram:

- Select Task Group for new Resource and click Activate. This allocates a read and write schema for use with this workspace.
- We will need to remember the workspace identifier for our newly created workspace. Click on Workspace for new Resource Test and the workspace identifier will be displayed in the information page. Make a note of this identifier for the next step.
