Changing orders associated with coupon promotions, Web activities, and metaphors
WebSphere Commerce Analyzer can associate orders with marketing activities on a site. That is, if a customer viewed a particular marketing activity and then placed an order within a certain number of minutes, WebSphere Commerce Analyzer will associate the order with the marketing activity. WebSphere Commerce Analyzer can associate the following marketing activities with orders:
- Coupon promotions
- Web activities
- Metaphors
To set up WebSphere Commerce Analyzer to associate orders with coupon promotions, campaign activities and metaphors:
- Open the WebSphere Commerce Analyzer Parameter Manager.
- Select Order Association. The Associate Orders with Coupon Promotions, Campaign Activities, and Metaphors page displays.
- For each order status, select Web Activities, Metaphor, or Coupon Promotions (or all three) to associate the placed order with a marketing activities. That is, WebSphere Commerce Analyzer will determine if a customer placed an order within so many minutes of viewing the selected marketing activity.
- In the Web activities time period field, type the number of minutes within which the customer must have viewed the campaign activity and then placed an order in order to associate the campaign activity to the order.
- In the Metaphor time period field, type the number of minutes within which the customer must have viewed the metaphor and then placed an order in order to associate the metaphor to the order.
- Click Apply. A message displays indicating whether the step was successful.
Note: If you decide that you do not want to use your selections, or that you have made a mistake, click Refresh to reload the original values in the window.
