Unable to install WebSphere Commerce feature pack on
Linux with 64-bit hardware

Problem(Abstract)

You run the Feature Pack installer and the following error
message is displayed:
ERROR: x86_64 is not supported
or
ERROR: IA64 is not supported
|
Cause
|
WebSphere Commerce does not support 64-bit JVMs.
WebSphere Commerce does support running on 64-bit hardware with a 32-bit
JVM (provided with the product). The installer mistakenly prevents you
from installing on 64-bit hardware.

Resolving the
problem
|
In order to install the feature pack, use the
32-bit installer for the feature pack by running install.linux.ia32
found in Feature Pack 1 or Feature Pack 2 directory of the feature pack
image.
