Loading utilities log files

The loading utilities produce a number of log files that can help you diagnose problems you have when using the loading utilities. This page provides a summary overview of the locations and default names for the log files produced by the loading utilities:

The trace log and message log files listed for each utility are shared by all loading utilities.

If you specify the -infile parameter for the idresgen utility, the file name of the exception log is the input file name with .error appended. For example, if your input file is MyInputFile.xml, the exception log file is MyInputFile.error.xml.

If you specify the -infileDirectory or -infileList parameters for the idresgen utility, an error file is produced for each input file found in the specified directory or list.
