Objective
To setup the B2B direct extended sites master catalog, that will be shared among all the Extended Sites, utilizing the product strategy that has been defined in the product strategy document. This includes setting up the master catalog, the products listed within the catalog and managing the product lifecycle of products. Products specific to a territory or enterprise customer are left out of the master catalog and created in the individual extended site.
Description
Once the Product and Marketing strategy is defined, it is necessary to implement them on the master catalog. This process involves setting up an intial catalog or making adjustments to a existing catagory/product set. The sales progress of the store is also closely monitored for performance against sale objectives and feedback for changes. This continuous monitoring process loop is designed to ensure that an organization does not become stagnant nor lose sight of changes in the environment that could be detrimental to their long term success. This process facilitates a leading edge approach to enabling long term success. This process is designed to ensure the organization is continuously identifying opportunities & generating options. Finally, as opportunities are identified in the process loop, the entire process is set in motion again to ensure that the organizations Product and Marketing objectives are continuously in line with changes to the environment.
