Process: Receive returned goods
Flow
Objective
Receive returned goods by correlating with an existing return merchandise authorization (RMA) and then sending the goods for dispositioning.
Description
The input to the process is the goods to be returned and an RMA number. The RMA number that accompanies the goods is looked up in the system. If it is not found, the condition is handled as external tasks that notify the customer and handle goods received without an RMA. If the RMA is found in the system, the items associated with it are listed and the specific items returned are logged. Next, the RMA is printed to accompany the goods that are to be sent for dispositioning. The printed RMA, the goods for dispositioning, and the RMA are output from the process.
