Ensure that the Web server is started

The Web server associated with your WebSphere Commerce instance must to started to ensure you can access the WebSphere Commerce tools.

To ensure that the Web server is started and configured correctly for WebSphere Commerce:

1. Open a Web browser and go to the following URLs

   http://
   web_server_host_name
   https://
   web_server_host_name
   
   
   

   where web_server_host_name is the fully qualified domain name of the machine on which the Web server runs.

2. Ensure that a Web page displays and that you do not receive any errors in the browser.

If no page displays, your Web server might not be started or configured correctly. Refer to the documentation for the Web server for instructions on starting the Web server.
