WAS ND clustering mechanism

After federating your WebSphere Commerce environment, you can configure clustering. Clustering provides failover protection and workload balancing.

This topic describes how to use the WAS Network Deployment clustering mechanism.

WebSphere Commerce configures a WAS stand alone profile for each WebSphere Commerce instance that is created. To cluster WebSphere Commerce machines create a WAS deployment manager profile. If you install WAS ND on the same node as WebSphere Commerce, your hardware requirements will be greater than if the node only runs WebSphere Commerce.
