Finding a user's distinguished name
When creating a hosted reseller or distributor service agreement, you will need DN's for some organizations and users.
- Open the Organization Administration Console.
- Click...
Access Management | UsersA list of users for the site displays.
- Make note of the user ID and organization of the user for whom you need a DN.
- Find an organization's distinguished name
A user's DN takes the following form:
uid= user_ID, organization_distinguished_name
...where user_ID and organization_distinguished_name are the user ID and organization DN you found in the steps above.
An example of a user's DN is:
uid=admin_user,o=A Special Organization,o=Distributor Organization,o=Root Organization
