Domain bootstrap address settings

Use this page to specify the bootstrap address host and port of the dmgr that contains the backup cluster. We must specify a value for the Host and Port fields and configure a core group bridge before you can use the backup cluster function.

When you start the dmgr, the operating system uses the host and port values specified on the Configuration tab for the bootstrap address. If change the host or port while the dmgr is running, specify new values on the Runtime tab. Any values specified on this tab take affect as soon as they are saved. However, if you stop the dmgr and then restart it, the values on the Runtime tab revert to the values specified on the Configuration tab when the dmgr restarts. From the console...

Host

Specifies the IP address, domain name server (DNS) host name with domain name suffix, or just the DNS host name, of the bootstrap host for the dmgr of the backup cluster.

For example, if the host name is myhost, the fully qualified DNS name can be myhost.myco.com and the IP address can be 155.123.88.201.

Data type String


Port

Bootstrap port number for the dmgr of the backup cluster. The port value is used in conjunction with the host name.
