Administer bootstrap members for a bus
A service integration bus can have bootstrap members. These are bus members, cell members for which the Service Integration Bus Service is enabled, or nominated cell members that can service requests to bootstrap into the bus, depending on the bootstrap policy configured for the bus.
Mixed-version environment: If the bus is in a mixed-version cell, the dmgr must be at a v7.0 or later level.mixv We can configure the bootstrap member policy for a bus, nominate, list and delete bootstrap members for a selected bus as follows:
- Configuring a bootstrap member policy for a bus
By configuring a bootstrap member policy for a selected service integration bus, you control which servers and clusters respond to bootstrap requests from client applications.
- List the bootstrap members for a bus
Use this task to find out which servers and clusters in the cell are available to service requests from clients to connect to a particular service integration bus. The list of available servers and clusters is restricted by the bootstrap member policy configured for the bus.
- Nominating bootstrap members for a bus
We can nominate one or more servers and clusters on cell nodes as bootstrap members for a selected bus. When the Bus members and nominated bootstrap members policy is configured for the bus, the nominated bootstrap members can service requests from client applications to connect to the bus.
- Delete nominated bootstrap members from a bus
Delete a nominated bootstrap member from a selected service integration bus prevents the server or cluster from servicing requests from client applications to bootstrap into the bus.
