Tuning messaging engines

Use this task to set tuning properties for the service integration environment. The service integration environment includes properties that you can set to improve the performance of a messaging engine or the component of the messaging engine that manages the data store. These properties are known collectively as tuning properties. We can set these properties either with the WAS administrative console or by editing the sib.properties file.

Tip: Properties set with the admin console take precedence over properties set in the sib.properties file.

 

• Set tuning properties by using the admin console:
  • Set the tuning properties of a messaging engine.
  • Control the memory buffers used by a messaging engine.

• Use the admin console to tune the data source.

• Set tuning properties for any of the components mentioned above by editing the sib.properties file.
