Deprecated Feature: Web Services Distributed Management (WSDM) is a deprecated feature in WAS ND v7.0

Use Web Services Distributed Management (WSDM) to manage appserver instances within an ND cell. The administrative support and visibility for WSDM in a cell is obtained through interaction with each WSDM application deployed on the appserver.

In the multinode ND environment, the management code runs across a distributed network of JVMs with a central access point as the dmgr process for the entire network or cell. Several different appserver JVMs might be managed within a cell. We manage appserver JVMs within a cell through the WSDM application installed on dmgr. The WSDM application acts as an admin client to the managed appserver.

We can build a federated dmgr cell from individual appserver instances by running the addNode utility program to add the appserver instances to the centrally managed cell.

After a node is added to the cell, the manager can still manage each application server within the cell through the installed WSDM application on the deployment manager.
