Set endpoints to only support clients that use WS-ReliableMessaging
By default, when a WS-ReliableMessaging enabled policy set is attached to an endpoint, the server supports clients that use reliable messaging and clients that do not use reliable messaging. In this version of WAS ND, we can configure endpoints to only support clients that use reliable messaging. You configure endpoints to only support clients that use reliable messaging by setting a property in either of the following ways:
- Set a property when packaging the application.
- Set a property as a JVM argument for the server.
This setting is reflected by WS-Policy if engaged. For information about how to engage WS-Policy, see Use WS-Policy to exchange policies in a standard format.
- When packaging the application, configure endpoints to only support clients that use reliable messaging by setting the strictlyEnforceWSRM property in the META-INF/MANIFEST.MF of a WAR file or EJB module.
- Use a JVM argument for the server, configure endpoints to only support clients that use reliable messaging by defining the Java virtual machine custom property com.ibm.ws.websvcs.rm.strictlyEnforceWSRM on the server.
See Set the JVM.
