Set appserver cluster mapping for proxy server custom advisorss


Overview

Configure an appserver cluster mapping to specify which appserver clusters a custom advisor will monitor.

Application server cluster mappings cannot be configured until a proxy server has been configured and a custom advisor has been deployed.

Complete these steps to configure an appserver cluster mapping.

 

Procedure

  1. From the admin console, select...

    Servers | Server Types | WebSphere proxy servers | proxy_server_name | Custom advisors policies | custom_advisor_name | application_server_cluster_mapping_name

  2. Click New Application Server Cluster Mapping to begin configuring a new appserver cluster mapping.

  3. In the Cell name menu, select the cell of the server that the custom advisor will monitor.

  4. In the Cluster name menu, select the cluster of the server that the custom advisor will monitor. Only the available clusters within the cell you selected are available in the Cluster name menu.

  5. Specify the application to be monitored. Only the applications that are deployed on the cluster you selected are available in the Application name menu.

  6. From the menu, choose a transport chain.

  7. Select the cluster members that the custom advisor will monitor from the Available appserver cluster members menu.

  8. Click > to add the selected cluster members to be monitored by the custom advisor.

  9. To remove a cluster member from the Selected appserver cluster members menu, select the cluster members to remove and click <.

  10. Click OK.
