Overview

The portal site default search collection is created the first time an administrator navigates to the search administration portlet Manage Search.

Before performing a portal database transfer, for example, from Cloudscape to DB2, create the portal site collection by navigating to the Manage Search portlet. Otherwise the portal site collection will not be available after the database transfer.

Search collections cannot be modified. To change them, recreate them.
