The Document Manager portlet is where portal users work with documents, folders and views.

- Enable document conversion
- Turn on active content filtering
- Disable the browser plug-in for desktop applications

Documents are stored in the document library, and the document library is stored in the content repository. During initial database configuration, plan the size and number of documents you plan to put into Document Manager. The size of the document repository must be considered when determining any spatial or performance issues.
