The My Tasks portlet displays tasks that are relevant to the current user from the Websphere Process Choreographer. Users can Claim or Cancel a Claim on a task, view the details of the task, or launch the task with this portlet.

 

Use My Tasks

No separate sign on or authentication is required. The user validation for portal users is sufficient to access My Tasks portlet.

 

Set up My Tasks

This portlet supports browsers and devices capable of rendering HTML markup. The following table provides detailed information.

There are no special server requirements.

 

Deployment/Installation

Certain steps need to be followed for installing the My Tasks JSR 168 portlet. As both versions of My Tasks portlet are available with this fix pack, the administrator has flexibility to install the required WAR file. The JSR 168 WAR file will be available as...

portal_server_root/installableApps/tasksportletJSR168.war

Follow the steps below to install the tasksportletJSR168.war file and to add the My Tasks portlet to a page.

  1. Click thru...

    Administration | Portlet Management | Web Modules | Install | tasksportletJSR168.war | Next | Finish

  2. Click...

    My Work tab | Configure icon

    ...and note the value entered in task page container text field. Return to the My Tasks page.

  3. Go to the Edit page and remove the legacy portlet and add JSR portlet.

  4. Click Delete to delete the My Tasks portlet.

  5. Click Add portlets to go to Add portlets page. Search on JSR Tasks in the keyword field.

  6. Select the My Tasks portlet from the list of portlets displayed and click OK. This will take you back to the Add portlets page. Click Done to go back to the My Tasks page.

  7. Go to the Configure page and enter the task page container name. Click OK to save the settings.

This portlet is not supported as a remote WSRP service.

For your own testing purposes, a BPEL-based process application can be installed and tasks can be created using that application.

 

Configuration parameters

The following configuration parameters have to be taken care of in this portlet.

  • Go to the Configure mode.

  • Set the parameter Unique Name to the new task page container.
