Migration from V5.3.1
The following factors must be taken into consideration when migrating from V5.3.1:
- Software levels -- minimum prerequisites
- Channel initiator parameters -- now implemented as queue manager attributes
- TCP/IP interface -- single interface only now supported
- CF structures -- new CFLEVEL 4 is now supported
- Channel event messages -- can now be enabled or disabled
- DB2 plan names -- of object description databases have changed
- Security profiles -- new MQSC commands require security profiles
- Channel attributes -- heartbeat interval and message retry attributes have changed
- PCF -- new commands require new security profiles
- Clustering -- enhanced default workload management capabilities
- Large page sets -- up to 64GB now supported
