The Domino Document Manager portlet displays information stored in a Notes database on a Domino server that is set up to work with WebSphere Portal.

The Notes database that Domino Document Manager uses as its source is sometimes called a library database.

Users must have the appropriate access to both the Domino Document Manager server that has been set up for use with Lotus Collaborative Components and the Domino Document Manager library database. The portlet does not support single sign-on, so users must log in with a name and password for each use of the portlet.

The Domino Document Manager portlet has been tested on and is compatible with all supported WebSphere Portal platforms.

Server requirements

The Domino Document Manager portlet requires access to a Domino appserver running Domino Document Manager, with HTTP and Java support enabled. The Domino server hosts the Domino Document Manager (Notes database) information source.

The portlet is compatible with the following versions of Domino:

  • 6.5.1, 6.5.2, and 6.5.3
  • 5.012

The portlet is compatible with the following versions of Domino Document Manager:

  • 6.5.1
  • 3.1 (requires Domino 5.0.12)

Note: If you want users of the portlet to be able to select the source Notes database file name from a drop-down list, the Domino server must have DIIOP support enabled, and on the Server document Internet Protocols - HTTP tab, the option "Allow HTTP clients to browse databases" must be set to Yes.

If you do not choose to enable DIIOP support, users must edit the portlet properties and type a database filename to specify the information source.

 

Deployment/Installation

This portlet is installed automatically as part of WebSphere Portal installation.

Note: This portlet is not supported as a remote WSRP service.
