Overview

The Web Content Management Application, Web Content Authoring and Rendering Portlets require WebSphere Portal 5.1 and 5.1.0.1

To run on z/OS, WCM requires IBM WebSphere Portal Enable for z/OS V5.1.0.1.

Refer to the WebSphere Portal documentation for details on the specific hardware and software requirements for these products. WCM supports the same operating systems as WebSphere Portal 5.1 and 5.1.0.1.

 

WCM Data Repository Requirements

Web Content Management Application data and resources can be stored in the following databases:

• DB2 8.1 with Fix Pack 6 or 6a (Enterprise and Workgroup Editions)
• Oracle 9.2.0.4 (including 10G driver support).
• IBM Content Manager 8.2 Fix Pack 7
• Cloudscape 5.1.60.12, 5.1.60.25
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 SP 3a
• UDB for z/OS 7.1
• DB2 Universal DB for OS400 (5.3)

Only Cloudscape and UDB for z/OS data repositories are supported for WCM applications installed with IBM WebSphere Portal Enable for z/OS V5.1.0.1 .

Web Content Authoring Browser Requirements

The following browsers are fully-supported:

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2.
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 SP1.
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 XP SP2.
• Mozilla 1.3.
• Mozilla 1.4.
• Mozilla 1.5.
• Mozilla 1.6.

The following browsers are partially supported. Rich Text Components are not supported in the following browsers:

• Netscape 6.2.
• Netscape 7.0.
• Netscape 7.1.
• Opera 7.23.
• Firefox 1.0.

The WCM Web Content Authoring requires one of the following JREs to be installed:

• JRE 1.4.1_07.
• JRE 1.4.2_03.
• JRE 1.4.2_04.
• JRE 1.4.2_05.

 

Federated Content Component Requirements

• IBM Information Integrator for Content 8.2 Fix Pack 3.
• If WebSphere Application Server version 6 is used, IBM Information Integrator for Content 8.2 Fix Pack 7 is required.

 

Dreamweaver Enhancements

Dreamweaver MX .

WebSphere Application Server version 5 only.
