Content Section

 

Overview

The Content section is used to select the Web Content Management Content or Component you want to display in the Rendering Portlet. If selecting a Content item to display, you can also choose an alternative Presentation Template to use to display the Content with instead of the Content item's default Presentation Template.

There are three different views available under this section.

  1. Content
  2. Content Component
  3. Library Component

 

Content View

Content

  • Any currently selected Web Content Management Content is displayed in the Content View.
  • Click Content to select a new Web Content Management Content item.
  • Highlight the Content you wish to display in this Portlet.
  • Click OK
Presentation Template

 

Content Component View

Content

  • Any currently selected Web Content Management Content is displayed here.
  • Click Content to select a new Web Content Management Content item.
  • Highlight the Content you wish to select a Content Component from.
  • Click OK
Content Component

  • Any currently selected Web Content Management Content Component is displayed here.
  • Click Content Component to select a Content Component.
  • Select the Content Component you would like to use from the pull-down list.
  • Click OK

 

Library Component View

Library Component

  • Any currently selected Web Content Management Component is displayed here.

  • Click Library Component to select a new Web Content Management Component.

  • Highlight the Library Component you wish to display in this Portlet.

  • Click OK
Default Context

  • A "default context" for the selected component can be set here. This is useful for dynamic components such as Menus or Navigators. E.g., The "default context" for a Navigator based on the current Site Area could set to the Site Area called "News". When the Portal Page is first opened, the Navigator will behave as if "News" is the current Site Area.

  • Click Default Context to specify a "Default Context".

  • Highlight the item you would like to use as the "default context" for a Library Component.

  • Click OK
