Collaborative authoring

When users create items in IBM^® Lotus Web Content Management™, they are participating in a collaborative authoring environment. Multiple users are creating, editing and deleting items at the same time. From time to time, there may be conflicts between the actions of different users. You can use various Web Content Management features to address these conflicts.

• Error and information messages
  As you work, various messages will be displayed in the user interface informing you of changes to items you are working with.
• Viewing references
  The "view references" tool assists you to keep track of and manage all the links between items.
• Working with locked and draft items
  As you work in collaboration with other users, you will encounter items that are locked by other users, either because they are being edited by another user, or a draft item has been created.
