Creating Web content

After creating yourWeb Content Management system, users can start creating content. Some users will create content by using a Web content authoring portlet. Other users may use a custom Web content authoring interface. Other users may create content by using a Web site that uses inline editing. All users will enter content using different element types stored in content items.

• Working with content items
  You use content items to store web-page specific content in the form of elements.
• Working with elements
  Each content item you create will contain at least one element type. The elements stored in a content item are determined by the authoring template selected when you created the content item. Depending on the authoring template you select, and your level of access, you may also be able to manage the elements in a content item.
