You can use the Web Content Management API to extend functions of Web Content Management.

• API Overview
  Only a limited set of functions are available when using the IBM Lotus Web Content Management API.
• Using the API
  The workspace is the heart of the IBM Lotus Web Content Management API. Items are created, saved, deleted and searched for in the workspace item. A workspace is basically an interface to Web Content Management that is associated with a user. Using a workspace item, the user can perform operations as that user.
• Web Content Management JSP tags
  You use IBM Lotus Web Content Management JSP tags with the Web Content Management API to pull Web Content Management content and components into external JSP applications.
• Web content library management APIs
  You can perform various Web content library functions using the Web content API.
