Creating the cluster on i5/OS
After installing and federating the
primary node, create the cluster.

Perform the following steps to create the cluster:
- Run the ConfigEngine.sh
-profileName profile_root cluster-node-config-pre-federation task, located in the profiles/wp_profile/ConfigEngine directory
of the primary node.
where profile_root is
the name of the WebSphere
Application Server where WebSphere Portal Express is installed; for example,
wp_profile.
- Run the ConfigEngine.sh
-profileName profile_root cluster-node-config-post-federation task.
- Run the ConfigEngine.sh
-profileName profile_root cluster-node-config-cluster-setup task.
- Configure the cluster to use an external Web
server to take advantage of features such as workload management. Choose one
of the following options:

wizard.
- Perform the following steps to access the Web Content Management content through an external
Web server:
- Log on to the deployment manager administrative console.
- Select .
- Perform the following steps to narrow the scope of the listed
variables:
- Click Browse Nodes in the Scope field.
- Select the node containing your application server.
- Click Browse Servers.
- Select the WebSphere_Portal server and click OK.
- Click Apply to update the list of variables.
- Update the WCM_HOST variable with the fully
qualified host name of the Web server.
- Update the WCM_PORT variable with the port
number used to access the Web server.
- Change the task list settings to point to the cluster
instead of a single server.
