Application pages
Use the Application Layout portlet to view, create, and manage pages of an application. From the drop-down menu of an application page, click Edit Application Layout to work with the pages of the application.
The pages of an application contain the components used by application members or public users of the application. If you are assigned a role that permits you to edit all application pages, you can maintain and customize the pages of the application. You can create and delete pages and edit page content, appearance, and layout.
- View the list of application pages by title, unique name, and status, Active or Inactive.
- Click the Status link of a page to deactivate or activate the page.
- Edit the properties of the page.
- Edit the layout of the page.
- Export the page.
- Mark the page and its child pages to move them to another location in the application page hierarchy.
- Order the pages in the application by moving them up or down in the page list.
- Delete a page if necessary by clicking the Delete icon.
- Click the title of a page in the list to edit its child pages.
- Click New page to create a new page and specify its properties and layout.
- Click New label to create a new label and specify its properties.
Managing application pages is similar to working with pages in other portal contexts, with the following exceptions:
- Search options are not available.
- Navigation is restricted to the selected application.
- HTML is the only supported page markup.
- URL pages are not supported.
For more information about managing the content, appearance, and layout of application pages, see the Help topics that are available from the Application Layout portlet of the application.
