Installing Oracle

This section provides information on how to install Oracle for use with WebSphere Portal Express.

• You should have completed reviewing the Planning for Oracle topic.
• If you are using Oracle 10g Release 2, apply the patch for Oracle bugs 4939157 and 5055175 to your Oracle system. Contact Oracle directly to get the patch.

You can use Oracle as the database software. You must install Oracle separately and before performing a database transfer.
